PATH FINDING VISUALIZER



Web app that visualizes the shortest path between two nodes using pathfinding algorithms


• Highlight: Implemented weighted and unweighted pathfinding algorithms including Breadth-First Search & Dijkstra’s Algorithm to calculate the cheapest path between two nodes

• Created visualizations to display the optimal path leveraging CSS animations

• Developed with TypeScript, React, Firebase, HTML, CSS animations

Mobile app designed to help consumers reduce food waste


• Highlight: Created recipe recommendation engine to suggest recipes based on the foods expiring the soonest and built out functionality for users to favorite/unfavorite a recipe

• Engineered RESTful backend routes using Express, Sequelize, PostgreSQL and Node.js

• Leveraged Google Cloud Vision API to identify foods; Used AsyncStorage to persist data

Wedding Registry website that allows users to create a personalized wedding registry site and integrate existing registries from their favorite stores (Amazon, Target, Bed Bath, etc)


• Highlight: Co-founded, designed, & engineered product using the lean start-up methodology

• Implemented JWT token-based authentication to manage user sessions and authentication

• Extracted product data via web scraping with headless browsers using Puppeteer

• Developed with Typescript, React, Bootstrap, Redux, Babel, Webpack, MongoDB, Heroku

SUICIDE PREVENTION CHATBOT



FB messenger chatbot that anonymously connects volunteers with clients seeking help


• Highlight: Created queues that instantly connect & instantiate a session between clients & volunteers and wrote backend routes to allow anonymous forwarding of messages

• Leveraged wit.ai to perform sentiment analysis (NLP) on messages to identify individuals at risk of causing harm to themselves or others and urges them to contact emergency support
